Heathrow Airport by Underground
Heathrow has two stations on London Underground's Piccadilly Line, one station for Terminals 1, 2 & 3 and one for Terminal 4. The average journey time to central London is about 50 - 60 minutes. Tubes run every five minutes at peak times and every nine minutes at off-peak times and weekends.
It takes an additional five minutes to reach Terminals 1, 2 & 3. These times are subject to change - it is normally advisable to check with London Transport before travelling. During the night, the N97 bus connects Heathrow with central London every 30 minutes.
Heathrow Airport by Coach
National Express coach services operate from the central bus station to and from central London (Victoria). The bus station is easily reached by the subways linking Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Transfer to terminals takes about 10 minutes. The central bus station is well signed posted from all terminals and is located next to the London Underground station for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
The travel centre at the central bus station provides full details of all services. An information directory board directs you to the appropriate stop. From Terminal 4 you will need to transfer by the catch the Heathrow Express train (free) which runs from Terminal 4 to a central train station underneath the bus station. It is worth booking in advance as the ticket office gets very busy.
From Gatwick Airport
Gatwick Airport by Gatwick Express
Gatwick Express is a non-stop service between Victoria Station, London and Gatwick Airport which runs every 15 minutes from 05:20 to 00:50 and hourly overnight. The journey from London to Gatwick takes 30 minutes.
